Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: November 1, 2026
This page explains how you can remove data that MJN Social Manager holds about you and your connected accounts, including data associated with your Shopify, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, or Pinterest connection.
Option 1: Disconnect a platform yourself
To stop MJN Social Manager from accessing a connected platform (such as Facebook or Instagram), go to your Dashboard, find the connection card for that platform, and disconnect it. This immediately revokes our stored access token for that account, and we delete the token from our database. Content already generated or posted is not affected by disconnecting.
Option 2: Request full account deletion
To delete your MJN Social Manager account entirely — including your brand profile, connected-platform tokens, generated and manual drafts, media library, and interaction history — email us at info@mjnapps.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Delete my account."
We will:
- Verify the request comes from the account owner.
- Revoke and delete all stored access tokens for platforms you connected (Shopify, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, and any other platform you connected).
- Delete your brand profile, posts, media library, and interaction records from our database.
- Delete your account and login credentials.
- Confirm by email once deletion is complete, typically within 30 days of your request.
Removing MJN Social Manager from your account directly
You can also revoke MJN Social Manager's access directly from Meta's own settings, without contacting us — this immediately invalidates the access token we hold, even before we process a deletion request:
- Facebook: Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites → find "MJN Social Manager" → Remove.
- Instagram: Settings → Apps and Websites → Active → find "MJN Social Manager" → Remove.
For Shopify, YouTube, or TikTok, you can disconnect that platform from the Dashboard within MJN Social Manager itself — this immediately deletes the stored access token for that connection from our database. (Pinterest publishing does not yet have a connection step in the app.)
Removing access this way stops any further use of that connection, but does not automatically delete data already stored in our database — for full deletion of your MJN Social Manager data, also send the request described in Option 2 above.
What happens to data after deletion
Once we process a deletion request, the data listed above is permanently removed from our production database and cannot be recovered. Backups that include your data are rotated out and fully cleared within a reasonable period after deletion. We may retain minimal records where required by law (for example, basic billing records for tax purposes), kept only as long as legally necessary.
